#Naturvennligevibber. Neil Young har gjennom det meste av karrieren sin flagget en miljøbevissthet, og den har ikke blitt mindre tydelig med årene.
De skarpeste kantene miljømessig sett, kom Young med på konseptalbumet The Monsanto Years, utgitt i 2015. Her er samtlige sanger et angrep på, eller i en kontekst med, GMO og den amerikanske sprøytemiddelprodusenten Monsanto. Monsanto produserer sprøytemiddelet Glyfosat og ble i 2018 kjøpt opp av det tyske konsernet Bayer.
Sangen Who´s Gonna Stand Up ble lagt inn på albumet Storytone, spilt inn i 2014. Albumet er spesielt fordi det er spilt inn med stort orkester eller storband. En alternativ versjon finnes riktignok i nedstrippet form. Du kan høre orkesterversjonen av Who´s Gonna Stand Up her, mens vi har valgt å legge ut artikkelen vår med en konsertversjon, fra Farm Aid i 2014, der Neil Young er alene med kassegitaren på scenen.
